About
I began drawing as a child, inspired by the comic books I collected, baseball cards, books, movies, cartoons, action figures, and by my other artistic friends. I learned how to draw and paint from art teachers through my whole life, including Garry Douglas, Brian M. Hart, Lawrence C. Barone, Bob Dacey, Yvonne Buchanan, John Thompson, Roger DeMuth, and James Ransome. I discovered illustration at Syracuse University as I was introduced to contemporary and nineteenth century American and European illustration, all of which continue to inform my style. I’m continuing to be both a graduate student and an adjunct professor, teaching courses in digital illustration, graphic design, web design, and flash design.
In addition to teaching and graduate work, I’m constantly working on freelance art and design. I am the Creative Director for Plate Male Media, a company specializing in providing effective risk reduction services and strategic public relations solutions to Greek-letter organizations.
Currently, I am working on developing an online magazine site for Serendipity Magazine, a new family magazine based in Greenwich, CT, launching this month.
Also, I am developing a health care website for the Fort Drum community with ABC Creative Group.
Stay tuned.
