Among many albums that I’ve been listening to lately while working, I keep going back to The Boxer Rebellion’s album “Union”.  I found this band while listening to my favorite radio station, KCRW, as they had the band in for a live performance April 21, 2009.  Click here to watch that performance. I recommend listening to the whole album, but my personal favorite would be the song “These Walls are Thin”.

I don’t know if anyone noticed how beautiful the album artwork and design is….. but it’s gorgeous.  There’s a certain feeling that you get when you look at the cover.  Liberation?  Very few album covers convey feelings, not necessarily “liberation.”  Another album that comes to mind is John Coltrane’s “Blue Train,” or The Postal Service’s “Give Up.”

I hope the band succeeds and keeps growing musically and artistically.
